"Love's Pure Light"
Angels watch over Mary with the Christ child,
basking in God's great love in giving us his son as our Savior.
Just as Mary cradles the infant Jesus, our Savior
"[encircles us] eternally in the arms of his love" (2 Nephi 1:15) |
|
"Redeemer" Mary cradles the body of Christ after the Crucifixion. It is a moment of deep sorrow, awe, and love, and is symbolic of our love for the Savior and His Sacrifice. "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29) |
|
"Windows of Heaven" When our Lord was born, angles visited humble shepherds. The glory of heaven continues to mix with God's children on earth today. If you come to him. "the God of love and peace shall be with you" (2 Corinthians 13:11) |
"Abish: A Faithful Lamanite Convert" by Gini Heywood
"And it came to pass that they did call on the name of the Lord,
in their might, even until they had all fallen to the earth, save it
were one of the Lamanitish women, whose name was Abish, she having
been converted unto the Lord for many years, on account
of a remarkable vision of her father -" (Alma 19:16-35) |
