The stage for pageant

Families working together to Bless their Community through the Easter Pageant
Tents set up on the Saturdays before the Pageant
Entire families are in the cast together.  These photos were taken on Super Saturday, the first rehearsal for the Easter Pageant where all members of the cast assemble with their costumes.  The day begins with a devotional in the morning and then proceeds to the grassy area in front of the visitors' center.  To minimize the effects of the Arizona sun - each family has their own tent which they position facing the stage - reminding us of King Benjamin's people with their tents open toward the Temple.  Families express their love for God and for the Savior and bring the gift of their time and talents to the entire community of Mesa.

How Great the Love

How Great the Love
Fine art exhibit currently at the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors' Center.
The exhibit displays works by Annie Henrie, a 22 year old artist and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as the work of talented local artists.

"Love's Pure Light"
Angels watch over Mary with the Christ child,
basking in God's great love in giving us his son as our Savior.
Just as Mary cradles the infant Jesus, our Savior
"[encircles us] eternally in the arms of his love" (2 Nephi 1:15)
"Redeemer"
Mary cradles the body of Christ after the Crucifixion. It is
a moment of deep sorrow, awe, and love,
and is symbolic of our love for the Savior and His Sacrifice.
"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29
)
"Windows of Heaven"
When our Lord was born, angles visited humble shepherds.
The glory of heaven continues to mix with God's children on
earth today. If you come to him. "the God
of love and peace shall be with you"  (2 Corinthians 13:11)

"Abish: A Faithful Lamanite Convert" by Gini Heywood
"And it came to pass that they did call on the name of the Lord,
in their might, even until they had all fallen to the earth, save it
were one of the Lamanitish women, whose name was Abish, she having
been converted unto the Lord for many years, on account
of a remarkable vision of her father -" (Alma 19:16-35)

"Captin Moroni" by Lorenzo Ghiglier
This sculpture was created by Lorenzo Ghiglier.
Although, not a member of the church he was inspired by the story of Moroni
and the 2,000 warriors as he read the Book of Mormon.
